Overview

SafeGuard Bookings is a scheduling software platform for appointment-based businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is protected, and how users can contact us about privacy concerns.

Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as name, email address, username, business name, contact information, tenant workspace details, billing status, and support requests.

Businesses using SafeGuard Bookings may collect client information such as client names, phone numbers, email addresses, appointment notes, service history, booking times, cancellation history, and no-show history.

How We Use Information

Information is used to operate the platform, create and manage booking records, display schedules, send notifications, manage tenant accounts, enforce plan limits, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. SafeGuard Bookings does not store full payment-card numbers. Stripe may collect and process payment information under Stripe’s own privacy and security practices.

Customer and Client Data

Each business is responsible for the client information it collects through SafeGuard Bookings. SafeGuard Bookings acts as the software provider that stores and processes this data so the business can manage appointments and related operations.

Google Calendar Data

When a workspace user chooses to connect Google Calendar, SafeGuard Bookings requests access to the user’s Google account email address, calendar events, and calendar free/busy information. We use this access only to identify the connected account, create and update SafeGuard Bookings appointments on the selected Google Calendar, remove synchronized events when appropriate, and prevent appointment conflicts with times already marked busy.

SafeGuard Bookings stores encrypted Google OAuth access and refresh tokens, the connected account email address, synchronization timestamps and errors, remote event identifiers for synchronized bookings, and the start and end times of external busy periods. We do not copy or store the titles, descriptions, attendees, or notes from unrelated Google Calendar events when checking availability.

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide or secure the calendar synchronization feature, comply with applicable law, or act with the user’s explicit consent. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Users can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Calendar Connections. Disconnecting removes the saved connection, encrypted credentials, imported busy periods, and synchronization links from SafeGuard Bookings and stops future access. Events already created in Google Calendar may remain there and can be deleted from Google Calendar. Users may also revoke access from their Google Account permissions and may request deletion assistance through support.

Cookies and Technical Data

We may use cookies or session data to support login, security, account routing, and application functionality. Server logs may include technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and access time.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data may be shared with service providers only as needed to operate the platform, process payments, send emails, provide support, comply with law, or protect the platform from misuse.

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect user and booking data. However, no software platform, network, or storage system can guarantee complete security.

Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Businesses should export important records before cancelling service.

Your Choices

Users may contact support to request account assistance, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of account or connected-calendar data, or answers about data handling.
